The Public Health Unit of the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital has resolved to make the Unit more functional through collaboration and coordination of all sections under the unit.

In a presentation at the ENRH Conference Center, Head of Research at ENRH Dr Pius Mensah explained how clinical care and Public Health are mutually inseparable in the quest for improved healthcare. He highlighted key areas that will make the Public Health Unit of the Hospital more active.

In an address Medical Director of the Hospital Dr Joseph Kojo Tambil assured of Management support in improving the Unit and giving more impetus to Public Health activities. He noted that the Head of Public Health at the Hospital, Dr Nana Esi Gaisie is now a member of Hospital Management team and entreated personnel of the Unit not to hesitate to channel their concerns through her to be addressed.

Deputy Director of Public Health, Dr Mrs Gifty Amugi charged various sections under the unit to document all their activities and ensure timely submission of reports in order to promote data quality in the Unit.

Also present at the meeting were some Doctors, ENRH Health Information Officer, Ralph Gyebi Kwateng, Community Health Nurses and some senior nurses.
